If you can really do it, then show it to me!"

And finally, a different, louder, stronger voice resonates over it all.

"HOSHI HANABI!"

All of the other sounds fade, and the final words echo softly, tauntingly, as Niou opens his eyes.

"Game set!
It was a tennis practice one fall day, and Niou had appropriated a ball machine and the most remote of the practice courts for his own use. The yellow balls flew at him at a ridiculous rate, and he swung his racket at them without thought, reactively instinctively--

Damn, but he was still moving around too much. He could hit most of them back without taking more than two or three steps from his initial position, but that was still moving too far. It was better than last week, but... He continued to hit the balls back and tried to remember ever detail from the video he'd watched a hundred times over; he'd held the racket like this, and moved his feet like this...

He smacked another ball back across the net, then pivoted on his left foot to hit the next; the balls seemed to come at him in almost slow motion, right to where he was standing. He hit back another one, then another, without doing more than pivot around. The air around him was starting to glow. Yes yes yes yes--

"Oi, Niou!"

The next ball crashed into his nose. He swore and ducked out of the way of the incoming barrage, turning to see who the hell was bothering him.

...Sanada, of course it was Sanada. Niou started to snarl at him, but the glow around him shifted, and suddenly he picking his jacket up from where he'd dropped it on the ground and draping it over his shoulders. He walked over to Sanada with a gait too slow and without enough of a swagger to possibly be his own. "What is it, Sanada?" The words fell out of him, and they weren't in his voice, either, they were in a voice that sounded a hell of a lot like--

"Yukimura." The surprise on Sanada's face was evident. "I thought Niou was back here, not you."

"No, it's me. Niou's over on Court F." Niou found himself smiling lightly. "Was there anything you needed from me?"

"W-Well." Sanada stumbled over the words, looking rather nervous. "I--"

Niou chuckled and finished crossing the distance over to him, and suddenly he was right next to Sanada and leaning up slightly to press his lips against his--

He woke up with a gasp, and anyone in the nearby apartments could probably hear him yelling "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!"

Reports vary. Let's go with blue.
[Hair Color] Bleached white
[Height] 175cm (~5'9")
[Weight] 62kg (~136 lbs)
[Bloodtype] AB
[Birthday] December 4

[Background]
Niou is a member of RikkaiDai's middle school tennis team. Rikkai is basically one of the ultimate teams in the series: they won the Nationals the previous year, and they defeat pretty much every team that they play. Except for Seigaku, who totally weren't this good last year, dammit.

Niou generally plays Doubles One with Yagyuu, though during the Nationals finals he played Singles Three. Either way, he's very very good. He's known as the "Trickster", because he likes to use mind games to throw his opponent off-balance. His preferred strategy involves pretending to be someone else -- when he and Yagyuu play doubles, they pretend to be each other, changing their physical appearance, personality, and techniques. At the Nationals finals he played against Fuji, and spent half of the match pretending to be Tezuka to screw with Fuji's head.

[Personality]
Niou is cocky, impertinent, laid-back, and michievous. He likes playing tricks on people, having fun, and doing things in rather unconventional ways. He's also perfectly willing to do things no one else dares to, from slapping Sanada to playing mind games with Fuji, of all people. He's good enough at tennis to win without using his tricks, but he uses them anyway to shock his opponents, and because it's more fun for him that way. He's obviously very intelligent and observant -- he has to be, or he could never mimic people so well -- but this side of his personality is usually hidden by his tendency to be a bit of delinquent.

[Specialties/Abilities]
He's very athletic and good at tennis. He's also one of the few characters in the series who can use Muga no Kyouchi, which would probably be considered magic if this wasn't a sports manga. Niou's version of it lets him use an illusion to turn himself into another person, and he uses it to mimic people even more thoroughly. He can also use the prediction ability of Muga, which can predict how many shots a volley will take before it ends.

[Affection] He's not terribly fond of affection. Hugging/Kissing and the like will be met with annoyance and "what the hell are you doing". Unless he likes you. A lot. [Mun says: go ahead and do it, just don't expect him to like it.]
[Fighting] He's pretty athletic for a normal human, and he has Muga, but he's still going to be getting his ass kicked in any fight with a superhuman. Plz to be gentle. [Mun says: starting fights is okay, but no maiming/killing without talking to me first.]

[Other Facts] Beware, for your sanity might break.
